"The National Meeting of the Sociedade Portuguesa de Ecologia run this year for the first time, in northern Portugal and is hosted by the University of Tras-os-Montes and Alto Douro, Vila Real, giving rise to the objectives Decentralization of promoting new research partnerships nationally that has always promoted SPECO.

associates the 11th National Meeting of the International Year of Ecology Ground and maintain the open configuration and diverse program in order to make room for all topics related to Ecology, either by land or water, essential for analysis problems resulting from the high impact of human activities on the planet and for seeking solutions through the implementation of new directions for research.
