Exhibition of Eco Design - Remade in Portugal

"Lisbon will host next September the first major exhibition devoted to Eco Design, held in our country. REMADE IN PORTUGAL The exhibition takes place between days September 28 and October 5 , ; in the Nave Fria, and will feature articles made of recycled materials and designed by the most renowned designers and architects, Portuguese, Italians, Argentines, Brazilians and Chileans.
The "Remade in Portugal" is the transposition into national view of an Italian project called "Remade in Italy" aims to encourage companies to develop products using recycled materials, which have an original design and quality production.
This project was created by Italian entity "Regione Lombardia" in 2004 and quickly established itself as a reference, with the participation, among others, the Italian Environment Ministry and the various consortia related to recycling. In order to spread the culture of eco-design and sustainable development at an international level, the "Remade in Italy" has already successfully implemented the "Remade in Argentina and began making contacts with Brazil. In Portugal, the challenge was launched on 15 designers and architects.
The goal: Create an object that uses recycled materials in their production.
Adalberto Dias, architect, Alda Tomás, designer, Alvaro Siza, architect Eduardo Souto Moura, architect, Philip Alarcão, designer, Francisco Providence, designer, João Luís Carrilho da Graça, architect, José Manuel Carvalho Araújo, architect, Louis Buchinho, designer, Manuel Aires Mateus, architect, Manuel Graça Dias, architect, Nuno Gama, designer, Nuno Sottomayor, architect, Pedro Silva Dias, and Pedro Sottomayor designer, designer, have joined enthusiastically in April 2007 and the Objects created and produced in Portugal were already in the "Salone Internazionale del Mobile" Milan "
