Movies With Charleston Dancing

Dear readers,

seems that after one year of existence began to thwart me seriously to writing!

thousand pardons for that! Naturally, most people who follow me will already know almost everything that has happened in recent months! In any forms will not let die the livejournal and everything I do to be able to give updates more often!

course that's my list of 101 things to do in 1001 days I ended up scratching that says "keep my live journal update." Done that ... I can only complete 100! If they can check to see that once in a while I will update my list and of course objectives met no one who'll inevitably make reference: I got a PhD!

Although not a PhD in Immunology completely focused as I expected to get, I think I ended up getting the win by having something that is not only basic immunology but something that includes several aspects. My knowledge within the clinical area is not great and this is the perfect opportunity to expand that knowledge.

Well .. but to be a bit more detail about it, I am working in the department of pediatric oncology in the same building where I did my master's thesis, namely the Erasmus MC Rotterdam, but this time in the 15 th / 16 th floor (in actually my office is at 16th and laboratories are located in 15). It is a huge department with more than 50 people but my group focuses mainly on B-ALL. This means, B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Cell!

My work within the group is currently identifying genes that are responsible the formation of a new type of leukemia. Once identified potential genes will make many functional studies in cell lines, cells of patients and possibly in animal models. In these studies will test what happens when a gene is expressed on or when there is any kind of expression! If all goes well this will tell me that other genes are involved and which genes / proteins can use to fight disease. Which brings me to the 2nd phase of the project is to develop drugs that help reduce poverty, disease or even eliminate them from her patients. Of course, do not expect to get something as elaborate as the use of a drug and its marketing take lots of years but I hope to contribute for that to happen. In summary, new type of leukemia -> identify genes responsible -> investigate the effect of genes -> improve diagnosis -> test various drugs -> improve combat -> heal!

In addition, for the week will go to London with Renata!

I am a great admirer of the city and will be great to be there again, but in reality what makes me more anxious is to be able to Renata! I hope I can show you the city and how it should be clear that you enjoy as much as I hopefully I'll enjoy myself. We have a small Plan the places to go and I must say that many of them still do not know!

only hope is that we do not have many fans behind us now because she is very famous and Mja out in all the Portuguese daily because of their study in Lagos Zoo Gibbons at (google -> Renata Mendonça Gibbons). Of course as babadíssimo boyfriend had to make reference to it: D

---------------------- For the week I also finally move me to that that will be my future residence in Rotterdam. I know I share it with a English doctor named Ernesto dentist and a Canadian to do a PhD Finance called in Kyle! They are both two great people and I hope we have given quite well at home!

already know that whoever wants to can come and visit me since I do not count on much attention: PO tightens work and free days are scarce!

Kisses and hugs, John
