Plans for April!
seems early to start planning this but in fact will be so many people here that it is best to start making plans!
Like Mary did a calendar for days that will be in Portugal I have also pointed out in my agenda a few days in April! The surprise that I had to rely on the previous post after it became a two surprises! One can now prove the other half only there for March
Starting with the first!
I get one more visit to my Estaminé! Again a girl (had to be hehehe). After Pokas (Catherine) of afilhadita (Rachel) and Rita, Vera and Veronica ... Renata (freeyourvoice - see link on the left!) comes to visit me! Yeap .. Renata is a super famous singer of the band that is called ... wait ... Midnight Lust ... ahhhh no ... changed his name .. Beyond Silence is now ... espereeeeem baby oooh ... changed again ... chrony is called! For those who want to hear a snippet can search on youtube for "Beyond Silence". She also promised to give a concert for us (the Portuguese) in Wageningen! So start by choosing to go music they want to hear (any) for it to start practicing. They should also receive it well because she wants to come to Holland next year (yes. .. another biologist from the ISA). So
9-14 of April I again make a tour guide and show this beautiful country. Of course they will not miss dinner party in Wageningen (with such concert)! Because of this .. I decided to take a vacation! That's right .. it seems that everyone in my lab takes vacations seriously except me. Staff going out for 2 weeks, 1 week and a half, other a little more ... and I ... I took two days in February! This time I'll take another 2 and a half days (9, 10 and April 14 in the morning (afternoon have a course!)). But as rail at Easter, these two days and a half turns into a long weekend! Calm down those who already think they forgot that Portugal and instead of receiving visits should go visit! It may be that there can go to Portugal in June for one week (get ready Vasco, Max and Cara to compare physical condition hehehe).
Tomorrow I have a game against a team of lab partner. Many of my colleagues will be present to watch the game and hopefully a good show! Unfortunately my knee is not the best day and I hope I do not relapse during the game!
Other plans I have for April: halt the introduction of the thesis and have the materials and methods already well advanced. Begin to introduce some results tambéme perform on April 8 the work that have so far. Speaking of results ... today I had very positive results! Those who give to jump for joy and thinking that if they continue like this can be to give something to post!
I also give you to know I added two blogs recently. O Mary, who is almost back to Wageningen (BORGAAAAAAAAAAA! !!!!!!!) and Rita, who began writing it in Finland but continues to update it!
Another novelty ... We have more than one member of the ISA in Wageningen! The Anthony Stott. Tomorrow will be the usual! hehehe ... think anyone is going to swim the channel! There

It Hurts To Be Fingered
Congratulations!
Today is a special day ... Special for many things!
One because the twins do Vasco and Margaret Miller 23 years! I know them to significantly ... 20. Much as our mothers were friends at work but also because our high school years (grande. .. great ... Sunbeam!) Were always spent together and since then we always go rivers moments despite having always been in classes / different schools. They are without doubt along with Max, the friends I have more time! And they are two people that I can not see when I'm in Portugal.
I think it's not worth talking about the times we've had together because they lost me for sure. But since holidays in Altura, Southwest, Vilar de Moors (only with Vasco), Passages of years, Inter-rail (again only with Vasco) and many other adventures! No doubt that the Christmas holiday were the people with whom I spent more time and lhees just have to thank for that (as I did ...).

Today is a special day for another reason. Many people know what I mean, others less so. Today, 5 years makes a great friend, John Carlos, died of leukemia. I will not make a big text about it until now because I did previously and who wants to can see it here (click on "here")
Despite the shock as all hope something ... the disease was not news to anyone! Despite this impact is always huge. As you can guess that one day party was supposed to be the first case mentioned above, became a huge trouble for us all. Clearly, John will always be with us for everything and everything was passed on to us!
Yesterday was the last day of my course in Molecular Immunology. I made a presentation that was supposed to lead to a short discussion (for the most nerds: Th1 vs Th17 in autoimmune diseases - I defended the Th1) but I was so convincing that in the end few people had doubt about what he said. This gave rise to a great compliment by my coordinator that left me Frill super: D
There is another new ... but I'll save it until it is actually confirmed! (Nãoooo. .. not yet ... got PhD)

Goal! Friday 13
Another weekend now!
course to have been a weekend worth had to be in Wageningen! Who did this time was the dinner Francisco. I must say that I very easily Francisco takes the place of a chef since his meat pie was crying for more! His culinary skills are fantastic and the chocolate mousse mint was naturally delicious! The night was like the other ... dinner ... The Doctors and International! But this time, at the end of dinner ... had a right to a special drink ... Marc de Santo Domingo! Well ... not imagine the faces of our overseas counterparts to drink this potion made in Portugal hehehe.
And because the text can not always explain the nights ... I leave you some (precious) photos tonight:
Obviously I'm in the middle ... On the left the most recent Portuguese Wageningen, Vasco; Francisco on the right side, on top of me Ze, alongside John zé finally behind Francisco ... Raul!
Me and Rita ... one of the young ladies who came to visit me Roterdãoea only one not to miss the party in Wageningen (certainly not regretted it!). 
And finally ... the image that demonstrates the complete insanity of the Portuguese in Wageningen (although the first does not show much sanity there!)!
And ready ... is what got the show of the weekend. Now many of you may be wondering why the hell is that title the post is called, quote, "Goal!". For one simple reason ... established a goal by the end of May! To understand a little of this objective has some history behind it. Vasco, Max, Caraçae Gonçalo (companions of Évora, Lisbon and surroundings), decided to join a gym and start losing weight / gaining muscle mass so they are all "beautiful" (the gym does not exactly plastic surgery ... I'm sorry guys ... we must be honest .. hahahaha) in summer Now ... Being here in Holland I could not stop the track. After all, if we all motivate each other, I'm sure we could get at least a little more elegant! And as such my goal by the end of May is well getting (click on the "well"!). Ahahaha ... tou kidding of course ... my goal is to try to stay as I was there muitooooooooosssssss years ago before the damn Mononucleosis have attacked me. That is ... thus:
I think the picture is 16 years (I am pretty sure!) this height no longer made me nataçãoe devoted exclusively to basketball. The beach ... I think that is the Praia da Ilha de Faro. But once again I can not give you certainty! On my shoulders is my brother who now must have a body similar to what I have in the picture (perhaps more developed) and a few centimeters of height. So ... until the end of May looks like this ... I'm so glad!

How To Make A Tractor Templete
Friday 13 ....
For many unlucky day ... for me ... always been one of my favorite days. Whenever he played basketball wearing the number 13! People who know me the longest know that 13 has always been a special number!
Special ... special also because it is now 5 years since my grandfather passed away! Just a Friday 13 ... Gambling? No. .. There can be no chance in a life that lasted and did as much as him! It's funny and remind me realize that memories seem guarded moments of today! I still see him working in the garden in the morning, shaving in the same workplace (the garden) with the help of a mirror hanging on a tree! "Play" in his workshop and I excitedly get for grabbing a hammer or a wrench! To have that hat you always saw ... crying laughing at lunch because my grandmother had a new story to tell ... I remember all this and much more ... I remember ... and I like to remember ... I remember ... and cry ... crying because memories do not replace people ... crying but mostly because those moments of happiness, consciously or not ... We'll take anybody. And tears of joy because I know that I had ...
Thanks grandpa!
(Today I am in Wageningen for a day of fun ... I will write more tomorrow ... but I promise to return!)

Portugal ...
I'm back to Rotterdam ...
I came back with mixed feelings of happiness and sadness. Gloomy ... The visit was short, only lasted three days, but the emotional intensity of these days left me with a sense of longing to return. I know it will be difficult now but I'll try to take advantage of small opportunities that may arise! The surprise went, of course, the best and I am sure that my mother could receive no better gift. Through it all I feel that those who received the best gift I've been these days!
The return to Rotterdam was a little troubled. I left at 9am on direcçãoa Evora Faro and only arrived at 13h. The flight was supposed to leave Portugal at 18:50 but due to technical problems only started two hours later. Because of this I arrived at Charleroi and at 00:30 only to Rotterdam 8am in the morning he went straight to the Institute for Molecular Immunology course. It was a very tiring journey and I have to thank him enough for sticking with me Renata at Faro airport until they decided to call for passengers boarding but for sure it died of boredom!
Right now I have three kids at home. Vera, Veronica and Rita! My room suddenly became much smaller with the number of people present. But so far no one had cause for complaint and I am sure that they estãoa fun around here. Tomorrow we go to another dinner Wageningen (Already more than typical)!
Tomorrow is Friday 13 ... for sure it will be a day like any other but leave a few words if you have time tomorrow for this.
