2 weeks!
This time there was almost a month but it was!
is no longer news to almost no one but within two weeks I will be traveling to Portugal which means that within the same two weeks that I will have my thesis ready. I think it will be a short race against time, but I'm ready to sacrifice myself for it! Right now I am in my lab to fight an amazing way to get to get something as it should be to give my supervisor tomorrow. Unfortunately I think I'll have to give things separately (which is not the worst!) For lack of time (maybe it should not be writing here (!!)).
With the submission of the thesis comes naturally to defend themselves. Already I have to defend that date will be August 28 this year in Rotterdam. For those who want to come give your support or even to come just for fun (there will be party (s (s (s (s)))) for sure!) Is of course very welcome! I'm willing to stick more than 8 people in the room (I'm sure I can) but I will not get out so they can feel comfortable coming (sauces).
Speaking from Portugal now ... It will be very difficult to be with everyone and so I will now give you my plan for that, if they can, join me in some days. I get two days to Faro at 23.30. beyond of Ruth, who has expressed interest, I doubt anyone wanted to go there because I will seek to tar some time for sure. From 3 to 5 days will be in height. 6 day week for delivery to Renata for the festival of Aveiro Vagos (anyone who wants to join us can (and should) tell me). I'll make a stop in Lisbon for lunch and spend some hours there. Who wants / has time may join us for lunch (site to be designated) which would be extremely nice to me because I get to go to Lisbon I doubt any other day. Although we have not yet decided how it should be, we must follow the same day to Aveiro 7 days or later than the morning (no more heavy night out of the question!). The festival runs from 7-8 days and 9 days left for Evora. I'll spend the night of 9 to 10 in Evora and hopefully get enough people together for dinner and a (short) night out. My idea would be to reach Évora somewhere between 14/15h for Renata to know your way around the city and to be able to enjoy more time with whoever is there. Day 10 we went back to the Algarve which means that in 11 days 14/15 days to be back in height. The dates may change since I want to go see my grandparents' house (which is already recovered at that time) and it may have to leave a day earlier height with my father. Almost certainly 15 days ago will be back and this time the Evora (Mr. Vasco, sr. Caraga, Miss Lena, Mrs. Guida and Ms. Ana Teresa) if you decide to go drink a coffee will be even just a coffee (the last time became one of the bars authentic rally ending at Praxis! (as I remember the girls decided to leave the boys hanging !!)). Day 16 depart Lisbon 19:30 to Amsterdam. I will be soon in Portugal, but in principle will be back in November maybe a little over two weeks (we'll see!).
Of course, plans change forever ... and they do not tell your under my but I hope to see as many people as many of you have not seen him since December.

seems that some "scientists" discovered that running barefoot is better than running shoes. That is why several companies are already making a "shoe" for special people to run "barefoot" (notice the amount of "I used!). Article until neither is misspelled. It's written like all scientific articles should be written ... so credible even if not credible! Of course, always an eye out repairs on small details that draw attention. Notice these two gems (which are followed in the article):
"Runners who wear cheap running shoes Have Fewer injuries than Those wearing expensive trainers. Meanwhile, injuries plague 20 to 80 percent of regular runners EVERY year. "
Let's analyze the first sentence carefully. So ... Runners who wear cheap shoes have fewer injuries than those who invest in specialized footwear. This would be very nice if they had taken into account that both cases run / struggling the same way. I could tell the young children in Africa have less food poisoning that European children. This does not mean that African food is better ... it is logical to also have less poisoning because they eat less. As a matter of probability a person who eats a wider variety of food is also more likely to get into trouble with some of them! By this I mean that someone who uses cheap shoes certainly have aspirations to run less and therefore run at least once ... fewer injuries. I bet if they did a study for long run / used shoes, would discover that after all the cheap shoes give more injuries.
Anyway ... my favorite is really the last sentence. It's nice to think that 20 to 80 percent of runners have regular lesions. It's really cute ... 'll say it again ... 20 to 80 percent! Wait ... let me imagine anything more fun ... go to an electronics store and ask the seller a percentage of customer satisfaction with the refrigerator we want to buy ... he answers: "20 to 80 per cent of people are happy." Hmmm ... this means that 80 to 20 percent of them are dissatisfied! Reached any conclusions? Because I have not ... but perhaps I am being too strict. A standard deviation of that mosntruosidade (20 to 80 until %!!!!!!!) that is acceptable ... Anyway .. I will not comment further ... I just hope to see everyone running "barefoot" this summer You have less than 20 to 80% chance of having an injury!

The news starts right with the case of a young man of 72 years want to have a son! Wait ... or is it a grandchild? Perhaps a great-grandson ... But people are aware of what you ask? 72 years?? Thinking she dies within the life expectancy (~ 80 years), who would be with the child of 7 / 8 years? There are things completely ludicrous ... If you give a baby to adopt this young I'd say an 8-year Sra can ask exactly the same with the benefit of being able to live longer with the baby!
This all got huge discussion (you) because a couple of 66 years gave light twins (through fertility treatment) in 2006 and died a short time ago leaving the twins 3 years orphans (perhaps should be given to other young children 72). This is just a silly opportunism on the part of doctors who want to be recognized for having made the "miracle" of getting a woman to get 72 years to give birth!
I leave you free to read the article and come to your own conclusions (because the article does not specifically in this case only).

do not know if I agree but I believe that doctors often take advantage of biologists and stay through the credits of many discoveries / advances in medicine.

Michael Jackson is dead! I have to admit that was a great loss for music (although I like less and less of the last phase of it) but I can not stop commenting on the fact that after his death (and like all artists ) thousands of companies started to make money stupidly. Here in Holland, 1 in 3 CDs purchased was Michael Jackson and there was only one radio that did not pass his songs. However there are already new best of and loads of things for sale on eBay. I remembered that I have a Vinyl's thriller already quite old (podera. .. he was still black) and decided to go see that preçoo were selling on ebay ... total disappointment .. only $ 30 U.S.. So not even worth thinking about making a profit with the death of this artist ... is wait a couple more years old and maybe I can make more profit!
After Jackson's death, several major music movements reminded that this was against racism and xenophobia ... Should I remind you that MJ was the most racist there? A black who wanted to be white to force all? Nobody can see it ... maybe I'm just naive.
Anyway ... does anyone know what the last plastic MJ before he died?
