"The National Congress of Environmental Engineering (CNEA), sponsored by the APEA, primarily aims to disseminate and encourage good practice in Environmental Engineering (EE) in Portugal and promote interaction and exchange of experiences among professionals, particularly among its members.
The CNEA want this its Ninth Edition focus on the theme of "Integration for Sustainability" looking to meet the increasing demands of the professional environment feel in their daily practice and that appeal to a growing need for integration and mainstreaming in the development and application of scientific and technical solutions to tackle holistically the environmental dimensions , economic and social required by the adoption of Sustainability at various levels of organizations. The CNEA
IX will be structured around three exactly the areas where this need for integration seem more urgent and which are also priorities of the Sustainable Development Strategy of the European Union and the Portuguese EU Presidency:
- Climate Change ;
- Sustainable Production and Consumption ;
- Resource Management .

The National Congress of Environmental Engineering, will be held on November 26 and November 27 2007, in the halls of the Lisbon Oceanarium in Nations Park. "
